Cooking in the wild

We enjoyed our time in the forest last week so we decided to go back.

This particular park doesn’t offer electricity but is not exactly “roughing it” either.  There are hot showers, flush toilets etc. In general it is just simple, quiet and enjoyable. And we get to make some elaborate meals over the fire…

For dinner – chopped mushrooms, onions, garlic, zucchini, potatoes and sausage mixed with a little bit of balsamic vinegar and a good amount of oil, oregano, italian seasoning, salt, pepper.

And for dessert – chopped apples, a little sugar, cinnamon, and granola on top makes a makeshift apple pie (just don’t overcook).

My favourite part: no dishes. Which is good, because washing dishes here seems to be a big no-no.
