Little people, big city

We visited Millennium Park in Downtown Chicago today, and it was pretty chilly…

Walking around the park, I can see how this would be a great summer venue with the huge open air theater and water park for the kids. In the winter though, they also have an outdoor ice rink. The one thing about this park is that from pretty much all angles you are surrounded by these huge Chicago skyscrapers.  Everything is so grand and large that you start to feel tiny in comparison.

There is also a huge reflective sculpture in the park. Its official name is Cloud Gate though its commonly called “The Bean” because of it’s shape. Don’t mind me clutching my tea for a little extra warmth.
